2 packages (8 links) of Butterball® Old World Smoked Hearty Turkey Sausage Links
3 large bell peppers cut into ¼ inch thick strips
2 tbs olive oil
2 large red onions cut into ½ inch thick round slices
Salt and pepper
8 brat/sausage rolls or buns
Optional toppings:
Mustards of choice, Sauerkraut, Relish
Directions
Preheat grill to medium-high heat (approximately 400°). Lightly brush a little oil on the sausage. Toss sliced peppers and onions with a bit of oil, salt, and pepper, and place them on a vegetable pan and onto the grill. If you don’t have a vegetable pan, you can grill the peppers in halves and then slice them after they come off the grill.
Place sausage links directly onto the grill. Grill for 3 minutes on each side, or to desired char.
Once you finish grilling sausages, peppers and onions, move them to a sheet pan and cover with foil. Turn grill heat to lowest setting and open your sausage rolls. Place them over the heat to toast to desired level. Plate and serve alongside recommended fixin’s (relish, assorted mustards, etc.)
